What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device when you visit. They help remember your preferences and settings, making your next visit easier.

We also use localStorage, which stores small amounts of data in your browser that stays on your device and is only accessed by our website when needed.

How Imanic Uses Cookies

We use cookies for two purposes:

  • Essential: To make our website work properly and remember your preferences.
  • Analytics: To understand how visitors use our public website. We use Google Analytics 4 on public marketing pages (landing, pricing, login, register). Google Analytics is not used inside the student learning app.

We do not use cookies to track you across other websites for advertising or retargeting purposes.

About Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect aggregated usage information about our public website, such as page visits, popular content, and general device information.

What We Don't Do

  • • We do not use Google Analytics for targeted advertising
  • • We do not send student names, emails, or personal identifiers to GA
  • • We do not use Google Analytics inside the student learning app
  • • We do not use Google Analytics data to identify individual student accounts

For more about how Google handles data, see Google's Privacy Policy.

Error Monitoring (Sentry)

We use Sentry, an error-tracking service, to identify and fix technical problems across our platform (including the learning app). This is not cookie-based and does not require consent.

  • What it collects: Browser type, device type, error messages, and stack traces when something goes wrong.
  • What it doesn't collect: Names, email addresses, or other personal identifiers are not intentionally sent to Sentry.

This helps us maintain a stable, reliable platform for all users.

Cookie Notice

When you first visit our public website, you'll see a brief notice informing you that we use analytics cookies. By continuing to use the site, you agree to this use of cookies.

The notice can be dismissed by clicking "Got it" and will not appear again on that browser/device.

A Note for Parents and Teachers

Imanic is a learning platform designed for children, and we take their privacy seriously.

  • Analytics are for the public website only. Google Analytics is not used inside the student learning app.
  • Student progress is tracked internally. We track lessons and quiz scores in our own secure database—not through any third-party service.
  • No advertising cookies. We do not show ads and do not use cookies for advertising.
  • Minimal student data. Student profiles contain only what the service needs (name, date of birth, and a generated display name, all provided by the parent). No student email addresses, phone numbers, or location. See our Privacy Policy for details.
